The Intersection of Research and Reality.
With 24+ years of experience as a solutions and application architect, I help organizations ship AI systems that pass audits, run reliably on real data, and earn trust from operators, compliance teams, and executives.
Today I serve as Offshore Consultant (Senior Solutions Architect – AI/ML/GenAI) for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), following an earlier period as Senior Solutions Architect in the same program—designing governance-first AI/ML/GenAI solutions, coordinating with digital factories, and driving platform readiness for production workloads.
Previously, as Chief Technology Officer at Iqra University, I led cloud migration to Microsoft Azure, observability with Application Insights, and the institutional rollout of SAP S/4 HANA—alongside years as associate dean, department head, and professor mentoring graduates through theses and industry-aligned software engineering curricula.
My academic foundation includes a PhD in Computer Science (computational intelligence), an MSc in Bioinformatics, and earlier CS degrees—supporting rigorous ML, NLP, and interdisciplinary work. Research includes 70+ publications, roughly 1000 citations, and multiple international and national research grants, with invited talks, tutorials, and professional training across industry and academia.
Certifications include NVIDIA Certified Professional – Agentic AI (NCP-AAI) and NVIDIA Certified Professional – Accelerated Data Science (NCP-ADS), plus NVIDIA Associate credentials in AI infrastructure, generative AI (LLMs and multimodal), and a long track record with Microsoft, Coursera, and Stanford ML coursework. I hold the ISO 42001 LA credential and have served as Lead Implementer on an ISO 42001 AIMS certification program for a major utility entity.
Earlier career spans financial markets technology (central depository and investment systems), product engineering in Java and .NET stacks, and hands-on leadership of SDLC, security standards, and performance optimization—before AI became a boardroom keyword.
“A simple person building sophisticated systems. Inspired by nature, driven by code.”
